Here are some recommended pre-set combinations of blades and rubbers that will suit most players. If you don't know much about equipment or haven't played extensively with competition-grade rackets before, you should pick a combo from here. Once you've developed a distinct style and know what you want, you can consider your own custom combo and pick specific rubbers/blades to suit your specific style.
NOTE: The prices listed assume 2x rubber sheets. If you play Penhold Grip then you may only want 1 sheet of rubber, though some also like 2 rubbers.

Description of the Trainer
This racket is a medium-spin, medium-speed, high-control combo that is a great transition from cheap premade rackets (even expensive Butterfly premade rackets) to real competition-grade equipment. Premade rackets usually heavily lack the ability to create any significant spin, so the game is so much different since you can then play without thinking much about the effects of spin. With competition-grade rackets, spin takes a much greater effect on you, so switching to an advanced racket too soon will frustrate you when the spins you receive are too hard to control. Description of the Pips Hitter
This is a racket meant for people who want to control spin instead of generate spin. This style, though not that common, is the short pips hitter that likes to stay closer to the table and hit flat, even against spinny balls. You'll be able to hit balls that are incoming with a lot of spin, and treat them as if there's very little spin due to the short pips. Recommended for:
